Book 2: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Wow. It was soooo long ago that I wrote my blog post ‘Slithering Snakes’. I thought that, because this story and the Baudelaires’ story with Uncle Monty (although they have different plots) are both about snakes, they could have the same title. Or maybe I’m not very creative and couldn’t think up a different name! (buy the book here)
Harry has started his second year at Hogwarts and he’s having so much fun. But there are two things bugging him. The first is his new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Gilderoy Lockart, who is very full of himself and can’t leave Harry alone, and the second is that Harry is hearing strange voices in the walls, which is not a good sign. But he
and his friends are slowly putting the pieces of the puzzle together and are getting closer to finding out who is behind the strange attacks* happening around the school….
What an epic book, but a bit creepy! It’s so smart how everyone who was attacked saw only the reflection of the monster attacking them, and how all that adds up at the end. I bet Hogwarts is glad that brave Harry is always there to save the day, even though sometimes he just runs into the problem and is the only who can solve it, along with Ron and Hermione of course.
