Book 6: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
I’m back with the next Harry Potter book ready to be blogged! It’s an action-packed novel full of strange stories and sad happenings, but it’s a great book that keeps the reader interested….. (buy the book here)
Harry is whisked off to The Burrow by Dumbledore where he spends his summer with his two best friends, Ron and Hermione. They then set off on the Hogwarts express to another year at the magical castle. On the train, Harry sneaks into his archenemy Malfoy’s compartment, after hearing some mysterious things in Diagon Alley about Death Eaters (Voldemort’s army). He keeps a close watch on Malfoy over the year, but is distracted by a task he has been given by Dumbledore: Extracting a memory from the new Potions Master, Slughorn. Slughorn has taken a liking to Harry because of his talent in Potions, which is really from copying mysterious scribbled notes from Harry’s textbook. Will Harry be able to solve the many mysteries around him so he can finally undertake a dangerous quest that holds some of the biggest mysteries of all?
What an exciting story! Probably my favourite part of the whole book is when Harry and Ginny Weasley (Ron’s younger sister) kiss!!! It’s very adorable and there are lots of other good sections of the book too – many would agree with me when I say that I recommend this book! A fantastic adventure that makes you want to never put the book down!
